- Remember to wear them again soonest after eating/drinking!
Daily Cleaning Of Your Aligners
The best time to clean your aligners is during your oral care routine like mornings when you wake up, or at night when you’re about to go to sleep.
Remove your aligners and place them in a cleaning solution while you brush and floss, alternatively you can apply a little bit of toothpaste to your aligner and then use a brush to clean them. Both work to break down bacteria and sanitize for use throughout the day.
Do not use soap as that can stain aligners and reduce their transparency. It’s best is to use cold or lukewarm water.
Eating & Drinking
It’s important that you remove your aligners any time you eat, or drink anything other than water. If you eat with the aligners in they may damage as you chew, or stain due to color in the food or drink.
Store them safely after a rinse in a protective case. Place the protective case somewhere quickly noticeable. For example when you go for lunch, place them on top of your bag or near your keyboard!
Alternatively we recommend setting an alarm right after lunchtime or dinner to remind yourself to put the aligners back in!
Do brush your teeth and floss before you put your aligners back in after eating or drinking.
Safely Storing Your Aligners
When your aligners are not in use, keep them in a protective case. We suggest drying them before you place them in the case.
It's best to not leave them exposed to air as this can dry them out and make them a breeding ground for bacteria. Alternatively they may begin to develop a poor smell, increasing your risk of bad breath.
Do clean your protective case often to remove any dirt.
